MEET OUR VOLUNTEERS OF THE MONTH!
"Lovebirds" Tiki Hall and Brian Bates spent their first vacation as a couple volunteering at the Aviary and Adoption Center. That was in 2007...they are getting married in October! We can't take all the credit, but we like to think we had a wing in solidifying this union!
Tiki and Brian share their Florida home with Peter, a 45 year old FEMALE Yellow Nape Amazon; Taylor, a 15 year old U2; and Remi, an 8 year old U2. Sounds like a festive bridal party!
When they were here last year, their help was invaluable. They cleaned, made toys and fixed cages just to name a few. They also saw a need for indestructible cage cards - and boy did they ever meet it!
Try as they may, no matter how crafty, not one bird has been able to destroy these cards! They have a permanent ink stamp with the info we need, and each one comes with a ring to attach to the cages.
Tiki and Brian have donated the cost, time and materials and are always checking in to see if we need more! We couldn't be more grateful! They have also included us in their bridal registry, asking guests to donate to their favorite cause - we couldn't be more grateful!
