VOLUNTEER OF THE MONTH

MEET OUR VOLUNTEER OF THE MONTH! Gayla M. has been a volunteer for at least a year, faithfully coming out to the Aviary weekly.  She has been a tremendous advocate for The Gabriel Foundation and has used her “techno- savvy” to get us recognized in bird chat groups.  This has led to many new sponsors of TGF birds and donations of toys from all over the country!  Gayla regularly videotapes and photographs birds that are being sponsored and keeps the sponsors updated on “their” birds.  Gayla herself recently got Petco in Castle Rock to give her a significant discount on large bird toys and purchased several for our aviary birds!  Gayla’s newest “project” here at the Aviary is to work with our 2 special needs Moluccan Cockatoos, Ricky Roo and Chloe, to help keep their cages interesting and stimulating and give them the regular baths they need.  We so enjoy her enthusiasm and commitment to bettering the lives of birds all over and enjoy having her part of our volunteer team.  Thanks Gayla!!   ^BACK TO TOP
