LONG TERM FOSTER CARE



The Gabriel Foundation's Long Term Foster Care program is for birds who need care away from home for a specified period of time (minimally 3 months).  This can be due to a variety of circumstances, including temporary assignment of the owner overseas, college, or medical issues experienced by a member of the family that prevent keeping the bird in the home.  Birds that are put in Long Term Foster are required to sign a LTF agreement and make arrangements for payment of monthly support from the family.   For care needs less than 3 months, see our Boarding page.  To begin the process, a Client Bird History and a Parrot Acquisition Contract are required.  See Relinquishment Page.
